18/06/2008: It'’s time for another update. A lot has happened since the latest update. Pete Philly & Perquisite have toured in Germany, France and Japan and are currently touring all of the big festivals around Europe like Splash (Germany), Sziget (Hungary), Exit (Serbia), North Sea Jazz (Netherlands, Nuke (Austria), Hip Hop Kemp (Chzech Republic) and Lowlands (Netherlands). Check www.petephillyandperquisite.com for the tourdates. After the festival season they will embark on a European tour, more on that later. On other Pete & Perq news they have been awarded the ‘Amsterdamprijs’ The award, which is the most important art award of the city, goes out every year to those artists who contributed in a special way to the arts and to putting Amsterdam on the map. It’s the first time ever that a (hip hop) band receives the award. A new single and video are on their way as well, keep your eyes (and ears) open!
08/12/2007: It's official: 'Mystery Repeats' will be released in the rest of Europe on February 18th 2008! To promote the release Pete Philly & Perquisite will both tour in Germany and France in February and March. The exact dates will soon be announced at www.petephillyandperquisite.com.
26/11/2007: After a very succesfull release in The Netherlands with tons of good reviews and a Dutch tour almost completely sold out, Pete Philly & Perquisite's second album 'Mystery Repeats' will drop in Belgium on January 21st 2008. To celebrate the release they will perform at Brussels' 'Ancienne Belgique' on January 24th, together with fellow Dutch artist Typhoon. Don't sleep!

25/07/2007: A Japan only 12" of Arts The Beatdoctor - The Anthem ft. Pete Philly has been released last week. The 12" also includes two exclusive remixes by Crackman and Quintessence. The 12" is only available in stores in Japan but can also be ordered online by clicking here.

29/03/2007: A new Pete Philly & Perquisite video has been released to accompany the Remindstate album! The Relieved (New Generation Big Band remix) video is a compilation of their experiences as a touring live band in Europe for the last two years and has been edited and directed by Steffen Haars & Nils Rensen. The video can be seen at MTV (NL) or viewed at youtube by clicking here. Also don't forget to watch the 'Soundclash' they recently did in Amsterdam club Paradiso against Dutch Reggaeband Beef! if you weren't there. The broadcast will take place this Satuday (March 31st) at 23:30h. at Nederland 3 (NL).

20/12/2006: After a short delay Unexpected will finally release Remindstate by Pete Philly & Perquisite this January in collaboration with Anti. Remindstate will be released in The Netherlands and Belgium on January 22nd and in the rest of Europe on January 29th. Also, a 5-track Remindstate EP will be released on February 8th. Also Pete & Perq have been nominated for the 'GOUDEN GREEP 2006', an annual Dutch Hip-Hop prize organized by 3voor12, State Magazine and Lijn5. Pete & Perq are nominated in the categories 'Best Group', 'Best Live Act' and 'Most original collaboration'. 11/07/2006: Unexpected will drop it’s 12th release, Pete Philly & Perquisite’s Remindstate album, in the autumn of this year. On Remindstate the entire Mindstate album will be remixed by Pete & Perq’s favourite beatcreators and bands from all of the world. Remixes will be included by Seiji (Bugz in the Attic), C-Mon & Kypski, DJ Mitsu The Beats, New Generation Big Band, Arts the Beatdoctor, Nicolay and many more. One track hasn’t been remixed yet though. For Insomnia Pete & Perq have organized a remix contest. The winning remix, which will be judged by them personally, will be included on both the cd and vinyl-release of Remindstate. 08/05/2006: After it’s release in Japan (March 2005) and Europe (April 2005) the Mindstate album by Pete Philly & Perquisite will drop tomorrow, May 9th in the United States, Canada and Australia in collaboration with ANTI. To support the American release Pete Philly & Perquisite will play with their full live formation in two of L.A.’s most renowned clubs, The Knitting Factory (May 9th) and the Viper Room (May 10th). If you’re living in or around L.A. make sure you’re there!

04/01/2006: The new year starts good! It has just been announced that Pete Philly & Perquisite have won a Silver Harp. The prestigious award, which is given out once a year by Dutch Music Organization Conamus, will be handed out on February 6th and will be accopanied by a performance of Pete Philly & Perquisite with the Metropole Orchestra.
22/12/2005: Unexpected Records is proud to announce that it has singed a deal with Dutch beatcreator Arts the Beatdoctor for the release of his debut-EP 'Fragments'. The 5-track EP, which will contain instrumental tracks as well as featurings by Pete Philly and Skiggy Rapz will be released on vinyl-only on February 9th 2006. Stay tuned!
